A Poem: When You Leave
And when you leave
take my sadness with you
Take the emptiness you created
and put it with the missed calls
Take away the restless nights
and put it with the missed calls
Take away the restless nights
and leave them with the unanswered texts
Take back the words “I love you”
and burn them along with your blunts
and burn them along with your blunts
And when you spark the lighter
and the paper hits your lips
and the paper hits your lips
Remember you were the one who asked me to come
but you had the audacity to leave
but you had the audacity to leave
